Board, Jee Main, Neet, Entrance Exam Dates After Lockdown

Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal assured the students and parents during a live interaction, that the educations of students will not get effect due to the lockdown. 

Amid the global havoc of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the central government announced the nationwide lockdown from March 24 to midnight. Due to the outbreak of the pandemic disease, all Boards, Universities, and Institutions postponed their all major events and academic program up to an indefinite period.

This created a panic situation among students and parents in relation to the Board exams and entrance exams date.

Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that no entrance examination is going to be held until the situation turns conducive. Also, the minister announced that the candidates would be intimated 10 days before the conduct of the remaining board examinations of Class X and XII.

During the 45-minutes live conferencing on twitter, MHRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ interacted with more than 20,000 students and parents.

According to some media reports, it has been expected that the NEET, JEE Main, and other entrance examinations will be held in the month of June-July. However, there is no official announcement has been made yet on the date of the exams.

Minister also advised parents to urge children to “practice yoga” and utilize the time in preparations for the rest of the exams. Various online courses and study material is available on websites for the preparation of students. There are more than 80 thousand study materials is available on the e-learning portal DIKSHA.

The government of India is taking all necessary steps to face the challenge and threat posed by the growing pandemic of COVID-19. Candidates are advised to don’t panic as the decision has been taken for the wellbeing of candidates and to curb the community transmission of the novel coronavirus.

Next week MHRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will communicate with students. In this, he will resolve the problem of students regarding JEE Main, NEET, and Board exams, etc.
